The New Cougar Point Golf Clubhouse on Kiawah Island

  • Kiawah 2.0: An Exciting Project in West Beach Village History

When you thought West Beach Village couldn’t get any better, the Cougar Point Clubhouse proves otherwise. It is the first major construction completed for Kiawah 2.0, the largest and most exciting renovation project in West Beach Village history.

It is predicted that once Kiawah 2.0 is complete, the project will have an economic impact of up to $500 million. Plans for revitalization include a150-seat chapel by The Sanctuary, a 150-room West Beach Village Hotel, a complete makeover for The Roy Barth Tennis Center (completed Spring 2019), and more.

  • Kiawah Island Loves Golf

Cougar Point Golf Course is the island’s first and oldest course, and the clubhouse renovation was the perfect follow up to the golf course’s recent reconstruction in 2017. With an upgraded pro shop, restaurant, and bar, you’ll find everything you need here for an enhanced golf experience.

The clubhouse’s grand appearance is the first sight that welcomes you once you pass through Kiawah’s security gates.

And, we know you are curious about what’s inside!

The clubhouse is open to the public, resort guests, owners, and club members alike.

Learn about the most exciting elements of the clubhouse, below. Then, come see it for yourself. Here's your sneak peak!

  • A New Bar & Lounge: The Players’ Pub & Outdoor Covered Porch

There are so many stand-out elements of the Kiawah Players’ Pub, and this massive upgrade has us over-the-moon in love!

The dining room seats up to 125 guests, and the spacious pub and bar seats up to 31.

Outside dining is also available on the 4,354-square-foot covered deck with gorgeous views of the sparkling lagoon and 18th green.

It is the perfect place to rock away and enjoy the island’s ocean breeze.

The restaurant offers three meals a day, and the menu by Chef de cuisine Cory O’Connor is phenomenal! Reservations can be made online.

During our visit, we indulged with the fruit and nut salad with grilled shrimp. We’d also like to note that good onion rings are hard to come by in the Lowcountry, but the huge and crispy rings at The Players’ Pub were a hole in one. Treat yourself, and enjoy them with a refreshing drink from the pub!

  • The Pro Shop and Locker Room

The Cougar Point Pro Shop is a golfer's dream. The shop is over 1,750 square feet in size, and the new space is filled with an impressive selection of equipment and accessories. You’ll find golf bags, balls, shoes, hats, and more. A 526-square-foot locker room is another luxurious addition!
