She leads one of the Lowcountry's longest-established women-owned brokerages and is widely recognized for both her market leadership and her decades of civic and philanthropic service throughout Charleston.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Pam began her professional life in the demanding yet rewarding field of intensive care nursing. In 1978, Pam's entrepreneurial vision took shape with the establishment of Pam Harrington Exclusives. Recognizing the burgeoning potential of Kiawah Island, she initially focused on villa rentals. "I established Pam Harrington Exclusives for the sole purpose of renting villas on the fledgling resort island of Kiawah," she explains. This early focus allowed her to forge invaluable connections within the community.

Within five years, those connections blossomed into a thriving real estate business, predominantly on Kiawah Island. "Within five years or so, through lasting relationships, I began to sell real estate predominantly on Kiawah Island," Pam recalls. This organic growth, fueled by trust and personalized service, reflects Pam's innate ability to understand and meet the needs of her clients.

From this solid foundation, Pam Harrington Exclusives has flourished. Today, the company stands as a testament to Pam's vision and dedication. "From there, the business has grown and expanded to where we are today," she says. Pam and her dedicated staff continue to provide the utmost in personalized service to every customer and client — an enduring commitment to individual attention that ensures every interaction with Pam Harrington Exclusives is marked by professionalism, integrity, and a genuine desire to exceed expectations.

Beyond her business acumen, Pam has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the Charleston community through her extensive service on numerous boards and organizations. Her dedication to improving the lives of others is evident in her involvement with organizations such as Hospice of Charleston, the MUSC Department of Orthopedics, and the Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic. In 2025, in recognition of her and her family's extraordinary commitment to the Lowcountry medical community, the emergency department at the MUSC Health Kiawah Partners Pavilion on Kiawah Island was named the Harrington Family Emergency Department in their honor.

Her commitment to civic responsibility is further exemplified by her 30 years of service on the Charleston County Accommodations Tax Advisory Board, her five years on the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS Board of Directors, and her several years on the CTAR Professional Standards Committee. Pam has also contributed to the cultural landscape of Charleston through her involvement with the Dock Street Theatre and the Charleston Symphony, and to community development through her work with Habitat for Humanity and Charleston Collegiate School on Johns Island.
