Another great way to explore these beautiful islands is by kayak. St. Johns Kayaks provides guided kayak tours that explore the marshes and estuaries our area is famous for. Tours run every two hours and all ages and experience levels are welcome. St. Johns Kayaks also offers offshore and inshore guided fishing trips as well as dolphin and sunset cruises.

For the thrill-seekers out there, Dolphin Water Sports offers jet ski rentals that allow you to explore wherever you’d like, including Bohicket Creek, the Wadmalaw River, Botany Bay, and the Edisto River, which are highly populated dolphin feeding areas. Their jet skis can be rented on weekdays year-round.

Fishing Trips

In the mood to catch some fish? Lil Darlin’ Fishing Charters offers two different fishing charter options for beginners and avid anglers alike. The Half Day AM or PM Trip (4 hours) and the Day Trip (6 hours) take you inshore on the Inner Coastal Waterway where you can expect to catch redfish, trout, flounder, and more.

Captain Lindsay can also take you on a nearshore excursion where you can expect to catch bull redfish, sea bass, sharks of all sizes, and mackerel. If you’re interested in a more laid-back way of exploring the Lowcountry waters, you may want to opt for the 2-hour Dolphin/Sunset/Eco-Cruise.

Another great option is Sonny Boy Charters. This charter docks at Bohicket Marina, where you’ll meet Captain Brad, a 30-year local fisherman with extensive knowledge of Kiawah and Seabrook areas and waterways!

Sail around the Lowcountry in style aboard Holy City Sailing’s Beneteau 373, which is a past Boat of the Year award winner. Choose from their 3-hour morning or sunset sails, book a custom excursion to celebrate an event, or enjoy a day of fishing between Bohicket Marina and the North Edisto River.

Another popular charter that leaves from Bohicket Marina is Captain Jack’s Sailing and Dolphin Watching. Board the 33-foot cruising sailboat, the Palmetto Tide, for a day sail to catch some rays and view the dolphins. Or, opt for a sunset cruise around the waters of Kiawah and Seabrook Island.
