Cassique Golf Course

Cassique Golf Course is one of two Kiawah Island private golf courses. Enjoy stunning views of the Kiawah River and adjoining creeks and marshes as you play. Cassique was designed by Tom Watson (five-time winner of the British Open). It was inspired by similar Irish and Scottish links-style courses. Ocean breezes make for an interesting, challenging game every time you visit.

Cassique Golf Course makes consistent appearances on Golf Digest’s list of the Top 100 Modern Courses. In addition to being a great place for a friendly game, it is also one of the best courses for improving your skills. It houses the Kiawah Island Club Golf Academy, which can assist you with golf fitness and mental training, in addition to technique.

The River Course

The River Course is beautiful, historic, and highly renowned. The second of two Kiawah Island private golf courses, it was originally home to the first English settlement on the island in the 18th century. The 18-hole course winds through the property alongside the Kiawah River and Bass Pond, as well as savannas and maritime forests. Since 1999, it has been certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

The River Course underwent an extensive renovation under the direction of Tom Fazio. All greens were re-grassed in ultra-dwarf Bermuda, while fairways, collars, and tees were re-grassed with Emerald. Four putting surfaces were completely rebuilt, and there were several strategic and visual alterations to the course. The improved River Course is a favorite among many Kiawah Island golfers.
