After graduating from the University of Virginia, Pam embarked on a career as an intensive care nurse, fostering a deep commitment to care and human service. This foundation would later translate beautifully into the world of real estate.

In 1978, Pam saw the immense potential of Kiawah Island, a nascent resort destination. With a pioneering spirit, she established Pam Harrington Exclusives, initially focusing on villa rentals. Her knack for building lasting relationships quickly propelled her into the world of real estate sales.

Over the next four decades, Pam Harrington Exclusives flourished under Pam’s leadership. Her dedication to personalized service, whether facilitating rentals or navigating sales, secured her company’s position as a trusted resource for both buyers and sellers.

In 2021, after a remarkable 43 years of operation, Pam Harrington Exclusives Property Management and Vacation Rentals transitioned to new ownership. This allowed Pam to refocus her passion solely on her true love: selling and listing real estate.

In 2024, Melissa Harrington returned to the company following several years abroad, bringing fresh leadership and deep market insight back to the Lowcountry.

Melissa earned her MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business (2008), following undergraduate degrees that grounded her in strategy and client service. Her blend of business acumen and island expertise strengthens our advisory approach—from pricing and positioning to enhancing the client experience across Kiawah, Seabrook, and the greater Charleston coast.
