Sunday Soirée Series at the College of Charleston

Looking for a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Charleston? The College of Charleston Department of Music has introduced the Sunday Soirée Series, a new concert series bringing exceptional live music to the Simons Center for the Arts throughout the 2026–27 academic year.
Nearly every Sunday, audiences can enjoy an intimate, one-hour performance at 3 p.m.—a perfect time to make an afternoon of it downtown, perhaps after brunch and before dinner.
The series features an eclectic mix of musical styles and performers, from jazz and classical to Latin American music, opera, soul and more. The 2026–27 season includes more than 20 concerts, showcasing College of Charleston faculty, students and guest artists.

- September 20: Breath and Bloom: Music of the Outdoors
- September 27: Unstandardized: An Afternoon of Original Jazz
- October 4: Know Thyself – CofC Concert Choir Fall Concert
- October 18: Lighthouse Band – contemporary jazz and soul
- November 1: Ensemble Affect presents “Colonial Baroque”
- November 8: Romantic Masterworks and Wartime Reflections
- November 15: Music of Merrie England
The season continues through April 25, 2027, with performances offering a wonderful cross-section of the College’s vibrant music program.
Make a Sunday of It
For those living on Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, Johns Island, and throughout the Lowcountry, the 3 p.m. start time makes the Sunday Soirée Series an especially appealing addition to a Charleston weekend.
