Charleston Hot Air Balloon Festival & Victory Cup

Fall Tour of Homes

Each October, the Preservation Society of Charleston hosts the Fall Tour of Homes where guests can get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the nation’s most exceptional historic houses. Strolling through these magnificent residences, you’ll experience the rich history of Charleston’s culture, architecture, and hospitality, and will hear stories about the people who have lived here for centuries. It’s the perfect way to get to know our charming city!

Charleston Farmers Market

Head downtown to Marion Square every Saturday from 8 am til 2 pm for the Charleston Farmer’s Market, featuring over 100 local vendors. This family friendly event is fun for all ages and includes live music, sweet and savory food concessions, artisans and craftors, farmers and growers, community groups and more. Swing by for a quick bite, or your weeks’ worth of fresh veggies and produce. You won’t want to miss Charleston’s most unique mix of local artisans! The Charleston Farmers Market runs April thru November.

Second Sunday on King

Each month, Second Sunday in Charleston offers an afternoon of vehicle-free, pedestrian-only exploration on King Street, which ranks as one of U.S. News & World Report’s 10 Best Shopping Streets in the U.S. The event is held from 1 pm to 5 pm on the second Sunday of the month, every month. This event is the perfect time for you to explore Charleston’s most widely recognized avenue whether it be strolling, shopping, dining, or enjoying live music.


Kiawah Island & Seabrook Island October Events


Kiawah Island Golf Resort Triathlon

Tri-Kiawah is a USAT sanctioned intermediate distance competition featuring a .7-mile swim, 25.1-mile bike and 6.1-mile run. The competition kicks off Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 7:30 am with the .7-mile point-to-point swim in the calm Atlantic waters off Kiawah Island's coastline. The bike and run portions of the race pass by scenic marshland, maritime forest and beachfront, allowing participants to capture the unique tranquility of Kiawah Island. This race is currently the only intermediate distance triathlon in the Charleston SC area to feature an ocean swim!

Cars and Coffee

Held the 3rd Saturday of every month on the Village Green, Cars and Coffee offers the opportunity to see some unique, antique and other cool styles of cars. Swing by from 9 - 11 am, every 3rd Saturday. Don’t forget to grab breakfast from JAVA JAVA!
