Down Under Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (plus more for the top!)

Melt butter in saucepan then mix in brown sugar off the heat until dissolved.

  1. Pour into mixing bowl.
  2. Add egg and vanilla.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking trays. Add extra chocolate chips on top.

Bake 12-15 minutes at 340 degrees. They will come out soft but set as they cool.


Butterscotch Brownies

Blondies
  • 16 oz box light brown sugar
  • 1½ sticks of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Melt brown sugar and butter together. Cool.

  1. Add eggs.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts together.
  3. Add to other mixture (brown sugar & butter).
  4. Mix well.

Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Yields 25-30 of the best blond brownie you will ever eat!

Milky Way Cake

  • 6 milky way bars
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cups nuts, chopped (optional)

Melt milky way bars and 1/2 cup margarine in microwave. Cream sugar and butter, add eggs and mix well.

Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk (start and end with dry).

Add vanilla, nuts and milky way mixture.

Bake in a tube or bundt pan for 1 hr and 20 minutes on 350 degrees.
