Located in exclusive Vanderhorst Plantation, this 4 BR / 4.5 BA home overlooks a beautiful lagoon and offers easy access to the beach. Enjoy ample amounts of natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights throughout. The open living and dining rooms are spacious and offer expansive views of Canvasback Pond. The newly renovated kitchen overlooks the dining area and has new Bosch stainless appliances, custom cabinetry/hardware, beautiful new lighting fixtures and a large island with bar seating for three. The kitchen also includes a cozy breakfast area with direct access to the spacious screened porch and deck- wonderful for sitting, sunning, dining, or catching a cool breeze from the lagoon. There is also a powder room located just off the living room down the hallway to the right.
Located on the main level at opposite ends of the house you will find the king bedrooms, both with ensuite baths. To the right, one king room offers a newly added walk-in shower, while the other king room to the left offers a fully renovated bath, complete with large walk-in shower, free-standing soaking tub and his and hers sinks.
The (2) twin rooms are located just up a small flight of stairs and are next to each other. The blue twin room has access to a renovated bath with walk in shower, while the pink twin room has access to a newly renovated bath with a tub/shower combo. All bedrooms include cable TV.
The beach access path is just one house down - a short, 5 minute scenic walk over the lagoon bridge will have your toes on the sand. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings during your next visit to Kiawah Island.

Great vacation apot
The vacation home was great! Our favorite part was the ease of getting to the beach either by bike or by a walk. We’ve been coming to Kiawah for several years and thought this location was very convenient. It was a great find for our spring break vacation!

We were seven cousins from all over the country. We travel together once a year. This year we chose Kiawah. I’ve stayed at this house before so I knew it would be perfect for our needs. This was prior to the renovations. The remodeled kitchen is beautiful. Adding the 4th bathroom was genius. We all loved this house. An easy walk to the beach.

Heaven on earth
This was our fourth year renting 183 Glen Abbey and we were thrilled with the changes the new owner had made. There is an additional bathroom and a totally renovated kitchen. This is a fabulous house overlooking canvasback pond and a short 5 minute stroll to the beach. We will be back next year.
Heavenly 183 Glen Abbey
The home was a lovely vacation rental. The property was spotless. The home had a beautiful recently remodeled kitchen. For a family of 8 the bedrooms were ideally situated. This a a definite positive recommendation. I will use the Pam Harrington Vacation Rentals for our next stay on Kiawah Island! Enjoyed the opportunity to see the island and stay in a extremely comfortable home.
What a beautifully updated home. The accommodations were perfect for my elderly In-laws. They were able to enjoy the porch and outdoor areas and the master suite was perfect for their physical limitations. Even though we had some maintenance/insect issues, AnnaLee, Amy and Doug were quick and professional in their response! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
Nice Home On Canal Near Beach
Beautiful home with canal water views and convenient beach access. Few problems with television access the first day but completely resolved day 2. Kitchen cabinets/counters could use some updating and television mounted over the fireplace would be an improvement, but rest of house is very well appointed.
Glen Abbey Family reunion
Loved our rental house once again. This is our third year at 183 Glen Abbey. We live this house for the lagoon view and close proximity to the beach. It is the perfect four bedroom house. We will be returning next summer.
Beautiful home with wonderful views and very close to the ocean.
We want to thank the owners for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home just days after completing the renovation of the upstairs bathrooms. And a big thank you also to Pam Harrington's team for all that they did to make our visit to the island the best possible. With a little creativity we were able to fit grandparents, parents and children into this home. Since 3 of the bedrooms have bathrooms and the large king bedroom downstairs only has access to the half bath near the kitchen, we were able to put 2 young children in the king bed and the grandparents into one of the kids twin bedrooms upstairs. A big THANKS, again, to the owners for opening your newly renovated home to us. It is a beautiful space!
Winter Retreat to the Beach
Enjoyed the home and location near the beach! This home is 2 homes down from the boardwalk to the beach.The next closest boardwalks are a 15 minute walk. DVD player must be accessed through the play station - directions would be a plus! The fourth bedroom does not have it's own bathroom. It is ideal for small children. Overall a beautiful property with nice amenities!

Terrific stay in Kiawah
Had a wonderful stay in a perfect home for the family. The property and home is very roomy and well maintained. It's close to the beach. The home has an indoor/outdoor living feel to it with the beautiful patios and the tall windows in the living room. Pam Harrington Exclusives is the only place anyone should rent from. They are truly the best! :)
Kiawah is The Best!
Lovely week in Kiawah!We had a fun time returning to Kiawah.The home was beautiful and located perfectly for a quick bike ride or walk to the beach. You cannot beat the wide open (not crowded) beaches of Kiawah. Biking around the island is fun and easy and everyone is very friendly. We had dinner out at Sanctuary and Osprey point and they were both excellent. We would definitely return to 183 Glen Abbey in the future!
Our stay was marvelous! The home was clean and spacious. It fit our needs perfectly. The proximity to the beach was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch and the wildlife.
Wonderful home with a modern/open flair and beautiful lagoon view
This was our third stay at this property. We very much enjoy the open plan and large windows that overlook a beautiful lagoon view. Beach is only 5 minutes away. Having access to the Kiawah Island amenities (pool, etc) would make it even better.

The house looked even better in person than in the pictures. The high cielngs and floor to cieling windows made it full of light inside and gave great views to the outdoors. The path to the beach was just two houses down and was walkable in just a few minutes. The bedrooms were comfortable an the house and area were quiet. Glenn Abby is a great road close to the beach without the beachfront price.

Awesome home and location
This home was perfect! It was great for my large family and was an absolutely beautiful home. It is also very easy to get to beach with a bike path right next door. Pam Harrington makes it easy with guest beach chairs and kind check in call asking if everything is working and ok. We have been coming to Kiawah for 13 years and this is one of our favorate homes to date.
The Perfect Getaway
We rented this home for a family vacation and fell in love. The property is well maintained and beautifully decorated. The design of the home gave us plenty of space and the outdoor areas were amazing. One of our favorite things was breakfast each day on the screened in porch, watching the wildlife. We even had a morning visit our last few days by a couple of deer. The house is a short 5 minute walk to the beach which worked perfectly. We felt completely at home during our stay and will most definitely be back.

This is a large, clean house on a quiet street in excellent condition. We were only 4 minutes to the beach on foot. I would stay here again and again.

Our family very much enjoyed this home. Slightly contemporary with large views directly to the private back yard, rear patio and private back yard. Path to beach is next door adn walk is only 5 minutes to beach.

Girls Go To The Beach...
Great location, just a short walk to the beach. We very much enjoyed the deck for reading and the screened in porch in the evening for an after dinner cocktail. Amenities were great, plenty of room for a large group. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Vacation Home
The location of this house near the path to the beach and on the lagoon was wonderful. the 4 and 5 year old kids loved the nature and the ease of getting to the beach, which was always nearly empty. The arrangement of the rooms made it easy for each of the 3 families (my wife and I, our grown daughter and husband, and our son, his wife and 2 kids) to have their own spaces, yet everyone wanted to be in the central rooms to be together. Kitchen is well-equiped and the screened porch was my favorite place. The agency called to see if we neeeded anything, twice, and we felt very happy. We would want this house again! Thanks!
