Your Guide to Celebrating the 4th of July on Seabrook and Kiawah Island

Our Favorite 4th of July Events on Kiawah Island


  • Kiawah Fireworks as a Part of the Independence Day Festival

The Kiawah Island Golf Resort hosts a stunning fireworks display best viewed from the beach. This annual tradition is one of the most celebrated events of the year. 

  • Friends and family gather at Sanctuary Beach for the festivities.
  • The show starts at 10 pm. 

Friendly reminder: The town of Kiawah prohibits the discharging of fireworks on the island, except for Sparklers. This applies to property owners and visitors, who will be ticketed if found in violation. 

Annual Patriotic Bike Parade. This family tradition kicks off the Independence Festival on July 4. The parade begins on Sea Forest Drive and finishes at Night Heron Park.

The celebration continues with the Independence Day Festival in the Park from 6 pm - 9:30 pm in Night Heron Park. 

Join your Kiawah Island neighbors for the Annual Bike Parade at Night Heron Park, followed by live music, carnival games, inflatables, and a photo booth.

Following the Annual Bike Parade Festivities in Night Heron Park include live music, carnival games, inflatables, a cookout menu, a photo booth, and more!

Food and beverage tickets will be available for purchase starting at 4 pm and will be served until 9 pm. A delectable cookout menu includes traditional holiday favorites. Prices range from $5-$20. Night Heron Grill will close for food service at 4 pm. The bar will be open until 9:30 pm.

  • 7:00 pm  Annual Watermelon Eating Contest
  • 9:15 pm Fireworks, Night Heron Soccer Field (time approximate)

 

Red, White & Blue Celebration


The Terrace Lawn at The Sanctuary will host a fun celebration for the whole family. The Red, White & Blue Celebration features delicious food and drink, live music, an obstacle course, lawn darts, and some unique games.  Buffet menu featuring your favorite cookout classics and seafood too!

Thursday, July 4th | 5 pm – 9 pm
$119 per adult, $59 per child (ages 4-10), inclusive of tax and gratuity. Free admittance for children 3 and under!

After both events, you’ll watch the fireworks show on Sanctuary Beach, which starts at approximately 10 p.m. There’s nothing better than watching a beautiful and colorful display with your family to celebrate our country’s independence. 

Celebrate 4th of July on Seabrook Island


  • Seabrook Island’s 5k Walk / Run!

Start your Fourth of July celebrations with fitness fun on Wednesday July 3rd! Run, jog or walk with fellow Seabrookers. The fun starts at the Lake House at 8 am! The course takes participants through the front half of Seabrook Island. Participants will be placed in corrals to space out the start based on their selection on the registration form.
  • The cost for the 5k Walk / Run is $25
  • The course is 3.5 miles

 

  • For safety reasons, ALL bicycle riders must line up at the FRONT of the parade and should be able to complete the 6.7-mile parade loop at a speed of 6mph.
  • Any type of vehicle allowed on Seabrook Island roads and able to maintain 10mph may participate in the parade.
  • Do not throw candy/items from vehicles in the parade. No water balloons are allowed.
  • There will be 2 sections for vehicles: Dry and Wet
  • ALL PARADE PARTICIPANTS MUST BE IN LINE ON SEABROOK ISLAND ROAD IN THE SEABROOK VILLAGE AREA BY 9:00 AM.

 

The Seabrook Island Club offers bar service and BBQ grills. Live music will be offered on the lawn offering fun for the whole family!

  • Wednesday, July 3rd (rain date Friday July 5)
  • The fireworks go off from the 9th Fairway at approximately 9:00 pm.
  • Everyone is invited & no reservations are necessary for the event.

What could be more festive than celebrating at the Beach Club? 

Grab a drink at the oceanfront pools or Pelican's Nest to catch the sunset and at 9:00 p.m., the fireworks show will begin over at the driving range.
