Cassique Golf Club at Kiawah Island, SC


Cassique Golf Course is the Club’s championship-level golf course located at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. It is the 2nd course in the Kiawah Island Club portfolio. The course plays at 6,960 yards, a par 72. 

Hall of fame American golfer Tom Watson designed the Cassique Golf Course. The Scottish links style layout opened for play in 2000.

The course winds through the semi-tropical maritime forest and marsh where the Kiawah River and the Atlantic Ocean meet. The fairways are wide and undulating. The greens are large and rolling, reminiscent of the Old Course at St. Andrews.

The course features a variety of hazards, including bunkers, water hazards, and fescue rough.

Cassique is a challenging course that requires a variety of shots. The front nine is open and features more risk-reward opportunities, while the back nine is more tightly tree-lined. The course is also known for its strong winds, which can make for a challenging day of golf. Caddies are available for members.

The Golf Learning Center at Cassique offers a digital range and practice putting greens.

As a part of the Kiawah Island Club, Cassique Golf Course consistently ranks among the top golf courses in the U.S., including Golf Digest's "Top 100 Modern Courses" and Golfweek's "Top 100 Residential Courses." 

  • Cassique Clubhouse: The Kiawah Island Club

The Cassique Clubhouse is a Club jewel. This beautiful 30,000-square-foot member clubhouse overlooks Cassique golf course and the Kiawah River.

Designed by Shope Reno Wharton Associates it opened to members in 2001. Built to resemble a 19th-century English country manor, the interior features an old-world aesthetic incorporating hardwoods and stone.

The clubhouse features the restaurant Voyseys and a pub-style bar. 

World-renowned chef Tom Colicchio opened Voyseys in 2001 and continues to serve as a consultant.

In addition, it houses the golf pro shop and full-service locker rooms for men and women. The Cassique clubhouse hosts many of the Kiawah Island Club’s social events.

  • The Sports Pavilion at Cassique

The Sports Pavilion promotes fitness and wellness. Members enjoy a sparkling outdoor swimming complex, four clay tennis courts, and an expanded fitness center with a multipurpose room for racket sports and aerobic activities.

Group fitness classes and personal training sessions promote fitness and a sense of community at this private 9000 sqft facility!

The Cassique Boat House and Kayak Launch appeals to those who love to be on the water exploring the tidal creeks and Kiawah River. The dock at the boat house has a large map offering various routes for exploration.

Single and tandem kayaks, and SUP boards are available for members and guests. 

  • Beach Access for Cassique Residents

As members of the Kiawah Island Club, Cassique residents enjoy access to the Kiawah Island Club Beach Club and amenities including the oceanfront beach area.

A second option will soon be available. The Cape Club in West Beach offers an ocean-front infinity pool, sundecks; al fresco bar, and dining. 

In addition, a state-of-the-art fitness center and changing rooms with open-air showers will be available to Cassique residents. Beach service and recreational gear will be available to Members. Currently Under Construction

  • Little Eagle Island

Little Eagle Island is an exclusive enclave in the Cassique community on Kiawah Island. Bordered by water on all sides, only 6 homesites make up this intimate enclave. Captivating views and an abundance of native flora and fauna characterize each unique homesite on Little Eagle Island. 

  • The Estuary
