Watch the sky light up as you ring in the new year at Night Heron Park! You can enjoy a full a la carte menu along with fantastic live entertainment. Some menu items you can expect are roasted oysters, barbecued chicken, collard greens, and Hoppin’ John (a Southern tradition!) The event runs from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. this year.

Voted “Best Party in Charleston” by Charleston City Paper, The Yorktown Countdown is a fantastic celebration that you won’t soon forget. Located just minutes from downtown at Patriot’s Point, the USS Yorktown is a decommissioned war vessel 364 days of the year.

Historic airplanes are repositioned on the top deck to make way for 15,000-square-feet of heated tent space. Inside, party-goers enjoy live music, DJs, a top-shelf full-service bar, light hors d’oeuvres, and so much more.

For a more intimate New Year’s Eve celebration, head over to Circa 1886. Each year, this elegant restaurant offers a special holiday menu for guests. Patrons may enjoy a meal that includes six courses and champagne. The holiday events at Circa 1886 always book up quickly, so call ahead to make your reservations.

Socially Distanced Polar Bear Plunge 

The Polar Bear Plunge is an event for the brave. Although this is South Carolina and the water may not be as frigid as some of the Polar Bear Plunge events up north, it’s still a challenge! So, put on a crazy outfit and head to the water for this fun New Year’s Day event. It’s a refreshing start to 2021.
