Turkey Trot | Thursday, November 28th
The annual Turkey Trot is one of Kiawah Island’s most beloved Thanksgiving traditions for both locals and visitors alike. This event, which is held at The Sanctuary Front Beach, is great for all ages and skill levels. You can either opt to take a one-mile walk or a three-mile fun run on the beach. The race begins at 10:30 a.m., but we recommend arriving at 10 a.m. to pick up a raffle ticket. The event is complimentary and includes hot cocoa and coffee.
Yoga on the Beach | Thursday, November 28th | $20 per person
Following the Turkey Trot, enjoy a mindful yoga session at The Sanctuary Front Beach. All levels of experience are welcome to participate in this medium-paced vinyasa class. Plus, it’s the perfect way to start your relaxing Thanksgiving on Kiawah Island. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 843.768.6001.
Fall Festival | Thursday, November 28th

challenge your family to a sandcastle contest? Now’s your chance! Indulge in your creative side this Thanksgiving on Kiawah Island and design a sand masterpiece on the beach. Sculptures will be rated by categories such as “best holiday theme” and “most creative.” The event will be held at the Sanctuary Beach Access and judging begins at 2:45 p.m. Entry is complimentary. 4th Annual Turkey Day Shootout | Friday, November 29th | $12 per person
Show off your archery skills in this friendly showdown! The 4th Annual Turkey Day Shootout will be held in Night Heron Park from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The event is separated into three separate age groups and the winner will take home a prize. Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 843.768.6001.
Mingo Point Oyster Roast and BBQ | Friday, Nov. 29th |$50.95 per adult, 27.95 per child
The crisp weather of November welcomes oyster season in the Lowcountry, and the Mingo Point Oyster Roast is one event you won’t want to miss.
