Located on a quiet cul-de-sac behind the second security gate, this feng shui-inspired home overlooks a scenic lagoon teaming with wildlife and is located less than a 10 minute walk to the pristine beaches of Kiawah Island.
To your left, the foyer leads to a large bright and airy kitchen illuminated by windows and skylights with granite countertops, a breakfast bar, and large dining area adjacent to an outdoor deck with an additional dining table and benches. The first floor also has a den with a tray ceiling, and a TV that opens to the screen porch overlooking the lagoon; a great room, with a high vaulted ceiling with lots of windows that opens to a deck overlooking the lagoon; a furnished screen porch -- ideal for relaxing and enjoying morning coffee or an afternoon drink; three decks; and a separate laundry room that also opens to the front of the house near the outdoor shower and the two car garage. The first floor master bedroom has a king size bed, open sitting room, flat screen TV and private bath with double sinks, soaking tub and separate shower with 3 shower heads, a custom walk in closet and connects to a deck overlooking the lagoon.
The morning view of the lagoon from the master bedroom is stunning. The other two bedrooms on the first floor are to your right when you enter our home. They are on the other side of the house from the master bedroom providing guests with privacy. They feature queen beds, full closets and bathrooms (one shared, one private) and one guest room opens out on a deck overlooking the lagoon. 193 Ryder Cup
This home was exactly as described. This was my family’s first time to Kiawah. It was a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful serene environment as well the cleanliness of the Vanderhorst Plantation. We are already making plans to return next year. And hopefully even stay at 193 Ryder Cup. The house was great. It was very clean and well designed.
The house was great and in convenient location for a family vacation.
Enjoyed our stay at this place - nice layout for the grandkids.
A number of items needed attending to when we arrived but a call took care of the most pressing. Gas Stove top does not appear to work correctly and kitchen faucet leaks. Also would like to have a dead bolt latch on inside versus needing key to lock. Queen Mattress in "kids" room needs to be updated.
Lovely Vanderhorst home
We have visited Kiawah half a dozen times, and this visit was one of the nicest. With 8 adults and one child, we used most of the available space. Beds were comfortable, rooms were large, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment (but no spices or other food basics). A/C worked well during a hot week, and the home was well maintained. Parking worked well even with 4 cars (1 in garage, with plenty of room for 9 bikes). Bike ride to the beach was convenient, and the beach was uncrowded, even for the 4th of July. Overall, great home, great vacation!
Perfect place for the family
We enjoyed our stay - lots of room, private, and an easy walk to the beach.
Manager Response: Thank you for reviewing your stay at 193 Ryder Cup. We hope to see you on Kiawah again soon!

Very good experience. Early Check in availability was great. Home was clean, and as described. Twin room upstairs was hard to cool down, stayed pretty warm throughout the weekend.
I have stayed at many different properties on Kiawah over the past 20 years and found this home to be perfect. It was the first time for our guests on the island and they were truly impressed by the condition of the home, the location and overall serenity of the surroundings. Great communication by the staff at Pam Harrington.
I look forward to returning again
I love the location of this home on the quiet cul de sac and on the lagoon, where a good variety of birds
are active plus the occassional alligator floating down the water and the sound of the water from the fountain is so soothing and can be heard even from inside the home. It takes us 6 minutes to walk the bridge over the lagoon and get on to the pristine beach. This an older home and goes have some old wooden deck parts, old style guest bathrooms with thick broadloom in guest rooms. This didn't concern us as we loved the updated master suite, kitchen and
kitchen dining area. Also there is a nice den for reading/music and a good sized living room with loads of natural light (and a good tv if you like to watch sports, documentaries).
We returned again this year for a long stay.
Had a wonderful stay over the New Year Holiday. The house was nothing short of amazing, very spacious rooms. The location was perfect. Check in and checking out was as easy as walking in and out of your own home, it could not have been any easier. If you are planning a visit to the area, I highly recommend using Pam Harrington.
This is a lovely is set in nice neighborhood... just as it was described!
I would recommend it highly. Especially, if you are there to play golf and hang out in the area. Otherwise, took at least an hour to go most anywhere else.
Great Time at Kiawah`
Great location and rental house.
Great Location, Lagoon View
We have stayed at this house 5 years in a row, so that should say something. Pam Harrington always makes sure that you're satisfied. I was particularly impressed this visit as I left my jewelry there and called on Labor Day, and Pam called me back despite the office being closed. The home itself is in a great location and set up well for a large family.
Very pleasant stay
We gathered family at this vacation rental to view the eclipse in August. On the whole, the property was as advertised and the family very much enjoyed the stay. There were a few issues, however, that the owners should correct. First, the gas grill was not functioning (the mgmt company brought one over for our use). Second, the adult bicycles were not usable because a pedal is missing from one and the tire pressure was too low on the other - and there was no bicycle pump to be found. Third, our family loves to cook for each other and, for the large crowd we had, the number of suitably sized pots and pans was not quite up to the task (again, the mgmt company came through). Finally, the stove vent did not work and should be repaired.
193 Ryder Cup Ct
The rental process was easy. Staff friendly and helpful. The house accommodated our family with plenty of space for all. Kitchen and eating area provided an area large enough for us all to eat together. Easy bike ride to beach access
Great facility for our family. Little walk to beach, not too far. Staff was great to our needs. Will definitely consider this location next year.
Enjoyed the home. Very easy owners to work with. Nice updates to kitchen and master BR. Close to beach!
Nice home on Kiawah
This is a lovely home with a great kitchen. The bike ride to the beach is only 5 minutes. The master suite is wonderful - large bath with super shower, sitting area and king size bed.
Excellent Property & Vacation Experience
My family and I spent Easter week at 193 Ryder Cup on Kiawah Island, with booking through Pam Harrington Exclusives. The house was very spacious for our party of six. The huge kitchen/dining area, master bed/bath, and great room were favorite place. The only two issues that we had were with flat tires on two of the bikes and the automatic ignition not working on the grill. Everything else was great. The place was clean, the kitchen fully equipped, and there were even plenty of beach chairs and sand toys for my daughter to play with. Pam Harrington & team were very pleasant and responsive. This house backs up against one of the largest and most beautiful lagoons on the island - we saw several alligators and herons from the various decks. The beach is comfortably walkable - you go past maybe ten houses, then cross the lagoon, cross one other street, then you're on the boardwalk. This house is located beyond the second security checkpoint and it was very peaceful. I would book another stay at this location and with Pam Harrington.
Very good. The beds were comfortable and the master bathroom shower was a treat! The location is close to the beach, yet quiet. This is a good family house.
Tennis Trip to Kiawah
We stayed in the house with 3 other couples for a 4-night trip to Kiawah for tennis and relaxation. The house worked out great for the group, and was very close to the Kiawah tennis resort. We rented bikes from Alligator bike rental - the beach is just a short bike ride or walk away from the house. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck by the water. Had a great time, and would definitely stay in the house again!
annual family vacation at Kiawah
Great house with plenty of room. Recently updated. Well furnished. Enjoyed the large decks and screened porch.
Kiawah Family Reunion
Great location and house.
Fischer Family Beach Vacation
We had a wonderful time staying in this home. It was in excellent condition when we arrived. We enjoyed the kitchen with all its updated appliances. It was well equipped for the cooking we did during our stay. We also loved the master bathroom! We all enjoyed the beach. It was about a 10 minute walk. Our 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old grandkids did fine with the walk, especially since we saw an alligator and a turtle the first day we went over the pond bridge on our way to the beach. We used one of the adult bicycles and my son and daughter-in-law brought their own with kids seats on them. They rode the bike paths several times and took the children to the playground one morning on their bike ride. They saw several deer during one of their rides. We would highly recommend this house to families.
This home and location were a welcome retreat for our family of 7. Plenty of space, comfort, and beauty.
Small family reunion
This was a trip with 4 different families came we all had our space. Upon arrival we entered the house and there was some cob webs and 3 bugs. Which we noticed were coming in threw the patio doors. My husband and I had the master sweet and it was amazing the shower was the highlight if you stay you will see why. The kitchen space was so nice and the frig was so big there was plenty of room for all the food we had. Kitchen was well equipped with pans and kitchen utensil. We all had our own space and we had 10 adults with plenty of room. Loved the short bike ride to the beach so beautiful. We were pretty much the only people on the beach until the last day. We would defiantly stay again.
Good times on Kiawah
We celebrated a special birthday at one of our favorite places, Kiawah! Inspite of cloudy days, it was fabulous. We enjoyed the home and were glad to have bikes available as that's one of our favorite activities on the island. The deck was perfect for relaxing in the evening and waking up with coffee in the morning. Alligator sightings added to the entertainment as we enjoyed the view. As one of the cooks, I was pleased with the well stocked kitchen. We had people coming and going but managed to sleep 10 one night. Fold out sofa not too comfy however so it worked best with just 8.
I own the house next to 193 Ryder Cup. I was entertaining a large group at my house and needed three extra bedrooms. It worked out great.
Beautiful house, great location!
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this home. The kitchen and master bedroom are fantastic! It's a 3 minute bike tot the beach. We go in high season and the beach still isn't super crowded! We will continue to return to this house so long as the owners are renting it! Pam Harrington is always great about checking to make sure that all of our needs are met, which is a nice touch.
Winter vacation in Kiawah
Our rental at 193 Ryder Cup was wonderful! We had everything we needed to be comfortable (except the outdoor temperature!). The layout of the house fit our needs for 4 older adults and 4 young adults very nicely! Fabulous kitchen made our cooking very enjoyable! Great, quick access to the beach on the beautiful bike trails was just the right distance. I highly recommend this property to anyone to rent for a relaxing and comfortable vacation and an excellent location near the beach and on the Vanderhorst side of the island. I very much appreciated the call from Pam Harrington upon our arrival to see if everything met with our approval.
The home at 193 Ryder Cup was top notch and exceeded our expectations. The location within the community was excellent. And to top it off, mother nature provided excellent weather. All in all, a vacation to remember.
Wonderful week in Kiawah
Great house and location. Well equipped with lots of space to spread out and relax. Will be back with this rental company. Very professional and friendly.
A beautiful view of the marsh and a short distance to the beach. This house was perfect for our family trip.
193 Ryder Cup Ct. Stay
Beautiful home, clean, close to beach, quiet. Truly enjoyed our time there.
193 Ryder cup review
The house was well furnished, in a great location close to beach and golf!! My only recommendations to the owners would be to update the appliances and hot water heater in the house. The dish washer leaked a small amount of water into the floor and the oven worked but was old. The hot water was always in short supply (we had 5 staying) and would recommend a tankless system. We just scheduled showers around so no big deal. Other than that, we liked our house very much and would recommend and stay again.
Manager Response: You'll be glad to know they are replacing kitchen appliances next week - sorry that it wasn't done before you arrived.
My extended family loved our stay at 193 Ryder Cup Court. The house was lovely and very spacious - we were able to spread out and have peace and quiet in some parts versus puzzles and tv in another. The kitchen was amazing and I enjoyed cooking fresh seafood every night and the space was roomy enough for large family meals. From the house we birdwatched, bicycled, shopped, and hiked. Thank you for making our family Christmas very special.
Great House with a Great Rental Agency
This house was perfect for running the Kiawah marathon. The house was really spacious and in a great location for family and friends to watch the race. It was nice to relax on the porch that overlooks a scenic lagoon. I left some items behind and the agent at Pam Harrington Exclusives was very prompt in mailing my items back to me. I would definitely stay here again.
An Absolute Delight!
Our family Thanksgiving week at this home was exceptional and we look forward to returning. We had owned a rental villa on Kiawah for 27 years (which we sold earlier this year) but our family yearned to return to the island. I was a bit wary of trying an "unproven" place but no worry since the conditions of the house and furnishings are exactly as pictured on the web site. The house is well maintained and accommodated our party of 9 perfectly (six adults and three children) with even a little room to spare. The layout of the bedrooms provides privacy and separation which was great for my wife and me and the kids loved the upstairs bedroom and study. The kitchen is very well-equipped and supplies provided met our every need. A bit more distance to the beach than our Windswept villa but it's a nice manageable walk across the lagoon. The bikes are new and in great shape and they got plenty of use while we were there. Pam Harrington was wonderful during the entire rental process and, regardless of whether someone would rent this particular house, we would highly recommend their agency. See you next year!
The house was great for family vacation. Outside areas could have been cleaner.
Great vacation rental
Good service from the company, great lagoon view, comfortable house, well organized kitchen.
Summer Kiawah Trip
Home was very wonderfully close to beach. Enjoyed lagoon view! My husband loves to cook with that in mind he found the kitchen could use a couple extra items, like glass baking dishes, some serving platters, etc. Grill was average, had problems getting it started. Otherwise, very nice areas for everyone to gather and enjoy!
Manager Response: We appreciate the suggestions for improving the property. The owners have since purchased a Pyrex baking set for the home. Problems related to starting the grill may have had something to do with nearly-empty propane gas canisters. We have filled both canisters and have had the grill professionally serviced.
Exceeded All Expectations (Which were high to begin with)
The property, location and Island charmed us into concluding that this will be an annual landing spot for our family. Truly special.
a nice week in March
We had great weather and a very nice week. We only used two of the bedrooms - the master and one of the queens. The master had good room darkening drapes; the queen's were not as opaque - semi. We were about a ten minute walk to the beach - or a quick bike ride. Pam Harrington's staff checked in on us a few times and responded quickly the night we returned to a power outage. The neighboring blocks were out and power was restored in about 2 hours - possibly due to some of the construction/renovation going on nearby. Overall it was a good rental experience.
Excellent week. I would highly recommend Kiawah and this house.
