Kiawah Fireworks as a Part of the Independence Day Festival
The Kiawah Island Golf Resort hosts a stunning fireworks display best viewed from the beach. This annual tradition is one of the most celebrated events of the year.
- Friends and family gather at Sanctuary Beach for the festivities.
- The show starts between 9:30 and 10 pm.
Friendly reminder: The town of Kiawah prohibits the discharging of fireworks on the island, except for Sparklers. This applies to property owners and visitors, who will be ticketed if found in violation.
Annual Patriotic Bike Parade. This family tradition kicks off the Independence Festival on July 4. The parade begins on Sea Forest Drive and finishes at Night Heron Park.

JULY 4 NIGHT HERON PARK
Kiawah Island's July 4th Celebration at Night Heron Park offers a fun-filled evening for guests and residents.
Festivities kick off at 5 PM with a cookout, followed by live music, games, and crafts at 6 PM.
Highlights include the Annual Watermelon Eating Contest at 7 PM and breakdancing by Kyle K'Otic at 7:30 PM.
The grand finale is a fireworks display at 9:15 PM on the Night Heron Soccer Field.
Food and beverage tickets are available for purchase, with a cookout menu (prices $5-$20).
Admission is complimentary, but the event and gate access are limited to Kiawah Island guests and residents. Please leave pets and coolers at home. Drone flying is also prohibited in fireworks areas.
Red, White & Blue Celebration
JULY 4 CELEBRATION AT THE SANCTUARY HOTEL ON KIAWAH ISLAND
The Terrace Lawn at The Sanctuary will host a fun celebration for the whole family. The Red, White & Blue Celebration features delicious food and drink, live music, an obstacle course, lawn darts, and some unique games. The buffet menu features your favorite cookout classics, as well as seafood.
The Red, White & Blue Festival at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island offers an exclusive July 4th celebration from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Priced at $129 for adults and $79 for children (ages 4-12), it includes live music, open-air activities like an obstacle course and soccer darts, and a buffet with classic cookout favorites and seafood. Guests of The Sanctuary receive priority reservations. The evening concludes with a fireworks show at 10 PM. Alcoholic beverages are not included but are available for purchase.

Seabrook Island’s 5k Walk / Run!
- The cost for the 5k Walk / Run is $25
- The course is 3.5 miles
- For safety reasons, ALL bicycle riders must line up at the FRONT of the parade and should be able to complete the 6.7-mile parade loop at a speed of 6mph.
- Any vehicle allowed on Seabrook Island roads and able to maintain 10mph may participate in the parade.
- Do not throw candy/items from vehicles in the parade. No water balloons are allowed.
- There will be two sections for vehicles: Dry and Wet
- ALL PARADE PARTICIPANTS MUST BE IN LINE ON SEABROOK ISLAND ROAD IN THE SEABROOK VILLAGE AREA BY 9:00 AM.
The Seabrook Island Club offers bar service and BBQ grills. Live music will be offered on the lawn offering fun for the whole family!
- The fireworks go off from the 9th Fairway at approximately 9:00 pm.
- Everyone is invited & no reservations are necessary for the event.


What could be more festive than celebrating at the Beach Club?
Grab a drink at the oceanfront pools or Pelican's Nest to catch the sunset and at 9:00 p.m., the fireworks show will begin over at the driving range.
