Your Guide to Celebrating the 4th of July on Seabrook and Kiawah Island

Our Favorite 4th of July Events on Kiawah Island


  • Kiawah Fireworks as a Part of the Independence Day Festival

The Kiawah Island Golf Resort hosts a stunning fireworks display best viewed from the beach. This annual tradition is one of the most celebrated events of the year. 

  • Friends and family gather at Sanctuary Beach for the festivities.
  • The show starts at 9:15 pm. 

Friendly reminder: The town of Kiawah prohibits the discharging of fireworks on the island, except for Sparklers. This applies to property owners and visitors, who will be ticketed if found in violation. 

Annual Patriotic Bike Parade. This family tradition kicks off the Independence Festival on July 4.  The parade begins on Sea Forest Drive and finishes at Night Heron Park.

The celebration continues with Independence Day Festival in the Park from 6 pm - 9 pm in Night Heron Park. 

Join your Kiawah Island neighbors for the Annual Bike Parade at Night Heron Park, followed by festivities including live music, carnival games, inflatables, and a photo booth.

7:00 pm: Musket Shooting
7:10 pm: Annual Watermelon Eating Contest
9:15 pm: Fireworks, Night Heron Soccer Field (time approximate)

Red, White & Blue Celebration


The Terrace Lawn at The Sanctuary will host a celebration that’s fun for the whole family. The Red, White & Blue Celebration features delicious food and drink as well as live music, an obstacle course, lawn darts and some unique games.  Buffet menu featuring your favorite cookout classics and seafood too!

After both events, you’ll watch the fireworks show on Sanctuary Beach, which starts at approximately 9:15 p.m. There’s nothing better than watching a beautiful and colorful display with your family to celebrate our country’s independence. 

Celebrate 4th of July on Seabrook Island


The Town of Seabrook Island fireworks exhibition is scheduled for Monday, July 3, 2023!  This annual celebration of our nation's independence is hosted behind the Seabrook Island House on the driving range.
Join Seabrook Island Club for a festive 4th of July
celebration behind the Club House! The event will include
American fare, live music, balloon art, a petting zoo,
spectacular fireworks, and more!

The Seabrook Island Club offers bar service and BBQ grills. Live music will be offered on the lawn offering fun for the whole family!

  • Monday, July 3rd
  • The fireworks go off from the 9th Fairway at approximately 9:00 pm.
  • Everyone is invited & no reservations are necessary for the event.  
  • Rain Date: Wednesday, July 5th
Seabrook Island Fireworks July 4th

The lawn opens at 6 pm with food and beverage service.

  • 6 pm - 7 pm: Live music from Colleen Lloy
  • 7 pm - 7:30 pm: The Break Circuit Break Dance Performance
  • 7:30 pm - 9 pm: The Midnight City Band
  • 9 pm - 9:15 pm: Fireworks & Patriotic Music

How to arrive: Walk, bike, or take the shuttle!

Parking will be full please plan accordingly:

  • Park at the Lake House and take the shuttle, which begins at 4:30 and operates on a continuous 25-minute loop
  • The last pickup at the Island House will be at 10:15 pm

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be July 5
* Please note that dogs and coolers are not permitted

What could be more festive than celebrating at the Beach Club? 

Grab a drink at the oceanfront pools or Pelican's Nest to catch the sunset and at 9:00 p.m., the fireworks show will begin over at the driving range.
