Kiawah Island Events, Festivals & Things to Do

Kiawah Island events offer residents and guests year-round entertainment. The Town of Kiawah sponsors music and film events throughout the year. Renowned musical artists such as Sam Bush and Boney James perform at events on Kiawah Island.

Monthly events include the popular Cars and Coffee scheduled on the 3^rd Saturday of each month at Freshfields Village.

Annual events celebrate the July 4 holiday week on Kiawah Island, and Easter break. Thanksgiving and the Christmas/New Year’s holidays offer multiple celebratory events on Kiawah Island.

Seasonal events at Freshfields Village include Blues by the Sea, a popular, April outdoor concert featuring regional and national touring acts such as blues rocker Tinsley Ellis.

Summer Kiawah events feature an abundance of options. For outdoor fun guided kayak tours are available, as well as creek fishing charters.

Freshfields Village bustles with events throughout the spring and summer seasons. The farmers market on Mondays from 4 – 8 pm features local produce, meats, crafts and prepared foods. Live music is a popular event at Freshfields with the Summer Music Series offered each Friday evening from 6 – 9 pm.

Kiawah Island residents look forward to the Fall Tour of Homes on Kiawah.

The year closes out in December with the Kiawah Island Marathon. This is a highly popular event with over 3,000 attendees competing in multiple events including a full marathon and a ½ marathon.
