This year, much of the event will take place virtually with live-streamed conversations, digital content, and online workshops you can experience from the comfort of your rental home.
Charleston Gallery Association Artwalk
The Holy City is well-known for its thriving arts scene, and you can experience it for yourself at the Charleston Gallery Association Artwalk. The event is held on the first Friday of every month from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitors have the chance to explore more than 40 downtown galleries, view incredible exhibitions, meet the artists, and enjoy refreshments along the way.
2021 Annual House & Garden Tours
The Annual House and Gardens Tours in Charleston is a tradition 85 years in the making. March 26 and March 27 you can tour some of Charleston's most beautiful private gardens. Purchase your tickets online to the 2021 Annual House & Gardens Tours to experience this annual event. Proceeds for this event go toward the maintenance and upkeep of many of Charleston's historic gardens.
Charleston Antiques Show - Canceled
Whether you’re an avid collector, historian, or art enthusiast, you won’t want to miss the Annual Charleston Antiques Show. Head over to the Charleston Gaillard Center to see beautiful antiques, garden furnishings, vintage jewelry, art, posters, prints, maps, and quilts. Browse antiques dating back to the 17th century, learn about each piece, and score some amazing finds. While the 2021 event is canceled, the 2022 Charleston Antiques Show is scheduled for March 4 - March 11.
St. Paddy’s Day Parade - Canceled
There is an array of exciting events taking place in the Lowcountry for St. Patrick’s Day each year, but the festivities have been canceled for 2021. In a normal year, the family-friendly parade begins downtown at 10 a.m. This is the largest St. Paddy’s Day parade in the state, featuring fire trucks, military vehicles, marching bands, dancers, and Charleston’s very own Irish step dancers. Save the date for next year's festival set to take place March 12, 2022.
Camellia Walks at Middleton Place
Experience the beauty of the Lowcountry in spring at Middleton Place! The plantation hosts Camellia Walks on several days throughout the month of March, and you can purchase your tickets online in advance. Stroll the gardens, see the colorful blooms, and learn more about Charleston’s native flora and fauna on this 75-minute tour.
Seabrook Island & Kiawah Island March Events
Seabrook Island Beach Club Opening
The Seabrook Island Beach Club opens its two newly renovated pools on March 27. Open daily from 9 am - 8 pm, the Beach Club oceanfront pools are the perfect spot for relaxing with a good book or lounging in the warm sun. There is a complimentary towel service for club members and guests, and you'll need your Seabrook Island Club Amenity Card for access. Keep in mind each day from 2 pm - 3 pm the pool closes for an hour for cleaning and sanitizing.
Weekly Spring Events
Polished chrome and vintage classics gather every 3rd Saturday at Freshfields Village around the Village Green. Cars and Coffee is a great opportunity to see some unique, antique and other cool styles of cars, and meet your neighbors. Swing by from 9 - 11 am on March 20. Don’t forget to grab breakfast or a tasty latte from JAVA JAVA!
Stroll the Freshfields Village to shop sidewalk sales, check out in-store events, get special offers and discounts, and treat yourself to some much-deserved retail therapy on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
